Mule Creek Dirty Tricks

DIRTY CDC/CCPOA TRICKS WE HAVE IDENTIFIED
THROUGH RETRIBUTION AT MULE CREEK. THIS
MOST LIKELY APPLIES THROUGHOUT THE SYSTEM.

1.  We have learned that being on the MAC Committee is a suicide job for inmates who actually stand up for others.  There will be zero legislative assistance if even if they were only doing their jobs and the warden decides to

A.  Put them in the hole for weeks at a time.

B.  Take away all their earned behavior credits

C.  Declare them "crazy" in order to cover up any cries for help they make to the legislators force dangerous drugs on them under "doctor's orders" and ship them out to Vacaville where they will be held in isolation indefinitely. This can include restraints, attacks by several guards, all away from the eyes of witnesses in the hole. The purpose of this abuse is simply to "break" the spirit of anyone who dares notify the outside world of wrongdoing.

D.  If an inmate is seriously injured and needs critical care, the prison will not send them to an emergency facility if it will expose that a crime has been committed by the guards.  This is a dangerous policy but there are no consequences here, even if the situation results in the death of an inmate

E.  If an inmate is seriously injured or ill, even possibly near death, the family will not be notified by any reliable source of information, may not see or speak with their loved one, and will only get lies and excuses throughout the duration of the crisis.

F.  Legislators/aides may not have access to determine the extent of the crime committed against your loved one under the guise of "doctor's orders" - even though the doctors have had lawsuits filed against them and are people who can't get a job anywhere else except CDC.

G.  Your only source of information in a crisis is a CDC employee who has told us repeated lies such as the claim that there is an 800 number which inmates may call if they have serious health problems are experiencing retribution.  There is no such number, legislators and all CDC administrators will never accept collect calls when inmates need help.  Inmates can NEVER dial an 800 number from inside prison.

H.  Food contamination is not considered to be a serious emergency, even when many families contact the Agency Secretary, Robert Presley.  Inmates are at the mercy of their captors and even though the food has been continuously contaminated at Mule Creek on B yard by rivals on C yard, there is no concern by anyone in the legislature or within the entire prison system.  Custodial responsibilities are unimportant and anyone who blows the whistle will be punished with no consequences to the warden who guards who allow this cruel violation of rights.

I.  The focus is on cover up and not on fixing problems.  The wardens are more desperate to keep their wrongdoing out of the eyes of the legislature and the media than to provide basic care to the inmates who are at their mercy.

J.  When the media finally gets involved and begins to make calls, the warden decides to do some very minor concessions but nobody from the legislature holds them accountable for retribution on whistleblowers.  In fact, the burden of proof is on the family who reports the wrongdoing, the same family that has no access to even learn an accurate report of their loved one's condition.

K.  If your loved one dies, you will be the last to know unless inmates call you. This is inhuman, unAmerican and a policy that the UNION must change once we find those 6500 workers.

L.  We also learned that in a crisis, UNION subscribers turn up the heat and do not bend to psychological intimidation.  Communication remained good from all sources even though CDC hid  and severely punished everyone with information, we were still able to keep the reports flowing out of the prison.  Families have finally learned that they are the media's only source of information and that silence is deadly.  The involvement of our subscribing journalists undoubtedly saved Eric's life but they are still punishing him for no reason.

M.  We have once again witnessed that the Inspector General's Office and legislature are completely impotent against the hardcore, bully CDC/CCPOA operations.  It is impossible to tell where one organization leaves off and the others begin, they are so intertwined.  There is absolutely no consequences for crimes committed against inmates by any warden, guard or often other inmates.  The reports of rape, murder, torture - physical and psychological - are of little importance and there is no true method of investigation.  There is no place for families of prisoners or inmates to go. If they seek help, punishments will be severe.  Even if a 602 is filed, which Bristow attempted to do, that will be destroyed, refused and ignored.

N.  We learned that the only fear of our oppressors is of journalists.  A mere phone call from a large newspaper reporter can save a life.  But that is the only "control" factor there is, and a phone call does not stop the punishments.  I would like to thank the journalists and publishers of the Los Angeles Times, Orange County Register, Justice Denied Magazine, and Jo Ann Fawcett, Jerry Baker - it isn't over yet.

We have only two ways to respond. One is with a  group class action lawsuit for millions of dollars in damages against all parties involved which probably can't win because the evidence is so hidden with the full cooperation of the legislature. It will certainly expose our oppression to the public and I feel that we should look for the money and spirited lawyer to do this....

Two is to organize enough voters to vote the bums responsible out of office (6500 workers) and exercise our power as voters to end this destruction of families, violation of rights and horrible desecration to our Constitution. Otherwise many more will suffer and die because we did nothing.

I am very pleased that we didn't miss a step in organizing for our March 13 protest in spite of the unbearable stress in this situation.  In fact several members of our clergy, educators and cooperating groups are so outraged over the sequence of events that they have been helping much more than usual.

The threat of the UNION newsletter has them making desperate acts because if we achieve our goal, that's the end of the CCPOA and everyone in bed with these rogues.Eric Reyes of Mule Creek Prison (who reads from a script when he speaks to me and other members of the press which they find cowardly and entertaining) called my daughter-in-law to inform her that Eric could have one visitor behind glass yesterday.

That person would have to call in after 1 pm to make an appt.  I called then  drove the 45 miles of winding roads out to the prison as rapidly as possible, stating I was coming from a distance.  When I arrived,I was not permitted to see Eric.  The guards thought this was very funny.  I wonder if they realize that we UNION people are voters, capable of ending 70% of the human bondage industry and putting them in the soupline.  We will see who has the last laugh. The reason given to me  was that I was "late."  I will go there again today an hour early. I ask that everyone continue with your mailings and education of other families, your posts and all of the work we are shouldering together. We should thank Matt Gray for trying to help, although ultimately he was powerless and shifted the burden of proof to us, the people who are blocked from access.

There are a few good people who try to help but they are powerless.  Why is that?
Even with dozens of alerts that retribution was in progress to everyone who acted courageously in the Mule Creek Food Crisis there is nothing that can be done in the legislature.  I find this amazing, don't you.  Fear and red tape permeates every level.

We are alone when we need help from our "leaders."Ken Hurdle, Mr. Gummit man left a message on my voice mail after I made it clear that I would not believe anything he had to say advising me that Eric's "doctor" said the UNION newsletter caused him to have a breakdown.  My goodness these newsletters are powerful.
