Your active support is needed to lobby for passage of AB 1539. Paying billions to punish the sick makes no sense. It is stealing precious education and human services dollars. Our children's future has been mortgaged with a secret and probably unlawful tax. Federal Medi-Cal dollars could be picking up some of these costs and cells freed up. This makes more sense than robbing our children of education dollars to do a $7 billion prison expansion.
